Research & Development Degrees
ANU has a number of programs for high achieving students. In Arts & Science, these are PhB degrees (Bachelor of Philosophy)
In Engineering & Computing these are Research & Development Degrees. They are unique in many ways & can be combined with other degrees at ANU
What is an R&D degree?
Our Research and Development programs are designed for high-achieving students and are very unique in Australia.
Both the Advanced Computing and Engineering R&D degrees are accredited by the relevant industry body to ensure you are prepared as a professional, whilst also getting exposure to the research environment.
These degrees still provide the best in both theory and practice, with an added bonus of undertaking advanced courses and research projects with some of the world's leading researchers.
After completing an R&D degree you will be prepared to work in research and development, as an accredited engineer in the public or private sector, and to continue study in a PhD program if you wish.
If you want to make a difference to society, challenge yourself, are passionate about maths or science or interested in research opportunities, than these unique degrees are for you!
