From group sign up to group activities
|
Facilitator: Peter Evans, Lauren Kane and Malcolm Pettigrove
By the end of the session, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Identify and develop the most suitable online activities for their student groups
- Employ the group selection activity to save manually putting students into groups
During the session:
- Brainstorm groups that may require online spaces
- Group sign up activity, set up and have participants enact the student role to demo
- Group activities that have worked well in CECS courses- wiki, chat, database, forums
- What activities would benefit your student groups?
- Participants experiment with each activity as a large or small group

BIO:
Dr Peter Evans is visiting the ANU from USQ and is working with the Central Wattle team. Peter has many years of experience supporting staff and students with Moodle and will run these sessions for CECS with assistance from Lauren Kane and Malcolm Pettigrove.
