ABSTRACT:
Nathan Brewer: Informative Image Processing

When you look at the world around you, you pay more attention to some objects than others, and the objects that you pay attention to are different depending on your interests. In this talk, I describe a technique that I have developed which mimics this attention focusing behaviour using minimal user input in a single step, producing an image that is oversegmented in regions of interest and simply segmented in other areas.
