ABSTRACT:
This talk will offer a brief introduction to mixed-integer nonlinear optimisation theory by presenting a short state of the art. We will then model a routing problem featuring nonlinear on/off delay constraints and present some convexification techniques and efficient resolution methods.
BIO:
Hassan Hijazi received a PhD from the University of La Mediterranee in Marseille, France whilst working at Orange Labs - France Telecom R&D between 2007 and 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he was a postdoctoral researcher at CNRS (funded by the Microsoft "Optimisation for Sustainable Development Chair" at Ecole Polytechnique). He just joined NICTA's optimisation research group.

His main research area is mixed-integer non-linear programming and applications to network problems, to which he made both theoretical and practical contributions.
